Hello Ramblin,

Thank you for your question. The event-handling system in ADAT is still under development, it should however handle the events you mention in a proper way.

We currently have 5 supported events:
- Balloon clicks, incomming calls.
This is the best event to use for now, this event should be able to convert %%oa%%, %%oa_name%%, %%da%% and %%da_name%% to "Originating Address", "Originating Address Name", "Destination Address" and "Destination Address Name".

- Account connection, On connected.
- Phone calls, On ring.
- Session, On lock.
- Session, On unlock.
These events only support launching the link, while only replacing above mentioned phrases to empty text.

To make this behavior a little bit better visible, i have extended the messages in the event-log. Assuming you have enough rights to view the windows event-log, you could look for source "ADAT". These changes have been made in the new version of ADAT: v 0.8.7.2, which has been published today. The link is available from the TTTelecom website: http://www.tttelecom.nl/index.php/nl/producs/adat

Every (enabled) event fired will result in three events. The first one specifies what event fired, the second event shows the specified URI, the parameters used to convert it to the used URI and the account info. The third event will show the end-result after all replaces have been done.

We have not yet looked into the Asterisk 1.8 differences, but we will do so as soon as possible.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Stefan

Hello Ramblin,

Thanks for your detailed problem description, that helps a lot!

We have found there are some issues with the balloons on asterisk version 1.6 or higher (actually detecting the events, but no events -> no balloons). The problems are most likely not based on your local situation but in the library we use to connect with asterisk. For now ADAT works best on asterisk 1.4, but we will try to add support for both asterisk 1.6 and 1.8 as soon as possible.

The issue concerning parameters is now caused by the fact that the only event which substitutes parameters (balloon-click) cannot be triggered due to the problem with asterisk v1.6. This problem is still one of the major TODO's on the ADAT tasklist.

We hope to fix these problems in a future release. As there is no real time and/or funding for ADAT development at the moment, donations are welcome. We will raise a bounty for Asterisk 1.6 and 1.8 compatibility. For more info see http://forum.tttelecom.nl/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=18.

Kind regards,

Stefan

Ramblin,

Dialing out should work on both 1.6 and 1.8. Please make sure you have specified the correct extensions and context (e.g. from-internal). Also check the AMI rights. Try the following instead of = all as you specified:

read = system,call,log,verbose,command,agent,user,config,dtmf,reporting,cdr,dialplan,originate
write = system,call,log,verbose,command,agent,user,config,dtmf,reporting,cdr,dialplan,originate

There is still an issue we have to look into with 1.6/1.8 regarding the inbound callerid variable.

Erwin

Good to hear it's working now!
I think the following rights should actually be sufficient for ADAT:

read = call, originate
write = call, originate
